Sure Signs of Spring

The grass is green and the trees are starting to fill in.
The fan is in the window.
The Oberon is available again.
And I’m now out of Sock Madness.
The pattern released on Monday morning and I spent all day knitting and picked at the sock some on Tuesday, but I wasn’t anywhere close to being fast enough this round. So, I took a nap on Tuesday and I haven’t picked up the sock since then. I’m still hoping to finish this pair this weekend or early next week though and I’ll start the next one soon since it releases on Sunday. They are gorgeous and I made it further than I did last year. I’m honestly happy to have made it as far as I did and I’m also thrilled to be done from the competitive side. I think 3-4 rounds is just about right as SM was starting to cut into my life a little more than I’d have liked and I just started losing that competitive edge this round. And hey, I still get new socks and some extra patterns out of the deal, so it’s all good.

Yeah- you an me both! Although my head is still a bit tweaked because it really is Summer here instead of Spring. Anyway- I haven’t picked up my sock since Tuesday either. Saw the two socks come up on Flickr that put me out and just set the sock down and went shopping. I do want to finish it though. Next pattern comes out soon!

HOLY COW! That’s a beautiful sock. I wish I could knit like that… I don’t know about Sock Madness–what is it? I am not a good enough knitter to participate but MAN, I’d love to just have the pattern and be able to knit along at my own snail’s pace. You’re good. You’re very good.

My dh loves that Oberon! I love the name & don’t mind the beer… lol
